Reading Tree is proud to donate books in support of local programs to improve literacy for all. The books we provide to schools, libraries and other non-profits come from generous donors who place all kinds of books they no longer want or need in Reading Tree’s collection bins.

Reading Tree collaborates with other non-profit organizations committed to improving literacy in their communities. We wish to complement the initiatives of our partner literacy groups in every market where we operate. Reading Tree’s partners typically help identify the schools or agencies that would receive and benefit from book donations. These partners are indispensable to the success of achieving our mission.

Thanks to Thrift Recycling Management (TRM), a company that supports Reading Tree’s mission and work, all donated books are collected from the bins and sorted. TRM fully maintains bins on behalf of Reading Tree. The donated books appropriate for children that are in good condition are delivered to schools for children to enjoy. Books are also sorted for donations to Friends of the Library groups in local communities along with many other organizations.
