Book Worm Angels is a literacy program headquartered in Chicago. Our mission is to promote the development of recreational reading habits beyond the classroom among students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in underperforming schools. We do this by providing teachers with a program to encourage in-home reading, supported with recreational reading books we provide to stock in-classroom lending libraries.

The Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) promotes literacy in Georgia by involving entire communities. The CLCP is a business-education-government partnership resulting in improved literacy levels of children, families, and workers in an entire community.

United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta serves 4.1 million people in a 13-county region. Uniting, focusing and mobilizing the strengths of metro Atlanta's finest companies, nonprofit groups, faith-based organizations, government agencies and caring individuals is what United Way does best.

Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. They are truly The Positive Place For Kids.

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation is pleased to contribute to the advancement of literacy in communities across the country through BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools). This nationwide literacy program was first established in Los Angeles in 1993 by Barbara Bain. BookPALS currently claims 11 chapters across the country, with over 2000 dedicated volunteers who serve more than 100,000 preschool through 5th grade students weekly by reading aloud at public schools, hospitals, cultural institutions, and shelters, as well as over the telephone and online.
